Wow! We were stoked to learn that the high school freshman who committed to Air Force this week was in fact our favorite U13 player in the world. In July of 2012, I made a pretty bold prediction about the U13 lacrosse phenom. Saying:
Remember this kid’s name. I’m pretty positive he’ll raise a few eyebrows with this video and he’ll probably commit to an ACC school by the time recess is over today.
Well, I was obviously wrong about one gleaming prediction, but I'm glad he's made a big move. The talented middie's name is Christian Marshall. Marshall hails froms Faith Lutheran (Nev.) and considered Michigan, Navy, and Notre Dame.
In case you've forgotten who Marshall is, here's the ridiculous video to jog your memory.
4OneTwoLax has interesting commentary about the commitment. Lacrosse Playground is all-in when it comes down to early recruiting. Enforcing restrictions on a student-athlete and an institution is the last thing we need to see. Let the kids play!

Early recruiting definitely doesnt improve work effort. There’s a point (near 7-8th grade) where kids look at a player their age and just go yo i heard Sam Offutt is so siccck. I cant be at that level. [Sam was the (Second?) freshman to commit D1, to UVA)]
When youre a junior trying to get to college (like myself), you either give up on lacrosse or practice your heart out. There is no grey area. And I have alot of work to do to catch up.

All it would take is a decent sized backer to lay into his chest and he would never consider going within 10 yards of the crease again.
oh you can dissect this kids game on a 30 second play from like 2 years ago? where are you committed?
