Athletes Unlimited Signs National Team Members and Draftees for Inaugural Season


Athletes Unlimited today on thursday that four United States National Team members, one former National Team member and seven draftees are among 11 players which have signed on to compete in the inaugural five-week Lacrosse season to be played at Maureen Hendricks Field in Boyds, Maryland, from July 23 – August 22. Veteran Syracuse defender Becca Block, University of Michigan midfielder Molly Garrett, Stony Brook midfielder Ally Kennedy and Northwestern attacker Lindsey McKone increase the number of current National Team player pool members to 20.





The 30-game season will have the largest TV and digital distribution ever for professional women’s lacrosse via partnerships with CBS Sports Network, FOX Sports, Facebook and YouTube. Through CBS and Fox alone, Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse will reach more than 80 million homes in the U.S.





In addition to Block, Garrett, Kennedy and McKone, other confirmed players include former US National Team member and University of Maryland attacker Alex Aust, Virginia Tech goalie Angie Benson, University of Denver defender Molly Little, Hofstra University attacker Alyssa Parrella, Syracuse defender Ella Simkins and attacker Nicole Levy, University of North Carolina defenders Caroline Wakefield and Kayla Wood.
