Young Female Lacrosse Players Learn How to be Good Sports

Baltimore, Md. – Twelve 2nd and 3rd grade Catonsville Girls Lacrosse players are learning what caring is all about when they formed a lacrosse team to support the Casey Cares Foundation. “Team Casey Cares” is playing in The Beach Lax Festival in Ocean City, Maryland. The team raised money and donated more than $300 to Casey Cares. They had uniforms made with the Casey Cares logo and plan to make a poster to take to each game to spread awareness about Casey Cares, a charity that provides uplifting and ongoing programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families.

“Not only do we have the privilege to support this amazing local charitable organization,” stated Faith Johnson, an Asst. Coach and Director of Human Resources at TEKsystems, “but we also have the opportunity to allow our girls the experience of giving back to help other kids in our community through sportsmanship and teamwork.”

Where: Field 5, Northside Park, Ocean City, MD
When: June 8th -10th

Team Casey Cares plays on Friday, June 8th at 6:30pm, Saturday, June 9th at 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 3:00pm and again Sunday, June 10th at 7am
