Whipple and Bilak Earn All-American Honors

TAMPA, Fla. - The 2015 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-Americans for Division II have been announced. The USILA is an association of institutions with varsity lacrosse programs in all three NCAA divisions and was founded in 1885.
Conor Whipple and Matt Bilak each earned their way to All-America honors, as Whipple was named to the third-team and Bilak was named honorable mention.
Whipple played in all 19 games for the Spartans, as he led Tampa and the Sunshine State Conference in points with 69. He was an all-around offensive performance, as he netted 35 goals and dished out 34 assists. This season Conor was also named Sunshine State Conference first-team, and also earned the conference's first player of the week this season.
Bilak appeared in 18 games this year for UT. The senior from Penfield, New York accumulated 35 points, which included 23 goals and 12 assists. He posted a shot on goal percentage of .575. This season he earned his way onto the Sunshine State Conference first-team.
These two Spartans led the team to a 15-4 record and an appearance into the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.
The All-Americans will be honored at the USILA All-America Awards Ceremony, which is being held at the Hilton Philadelphia Penn's Landing, 201 South Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
