EDISION, N.J. (3/9/2015) -- It was a record breaking performance for sophomore Jason Weber (Whitby, Ont. / Christ School (N.C.) last Wednesday and with that came his third MAAC Defensive Player of the Week award of the season, announced the league office on Monday afternoon.

Weber broke his own school record with 28 stops against Mercer, posting an .800 save percentage with four ground balls in Detroit's 12-7 victory over the Bears. The win moved UDM to two games over .500 for the first time in program history.

The second-year netminder – who was the conference's Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year last season – topped the school mark of 23 he had against Marist in 2014. It was also the most saves in the NCAA and the MAAC since Dan Morrissey of St. Joseph's had 28 against Delaware on Feb. 14, 2004.

Weber now leads the NCAA with 18.17 saves per game and is third with a .634 save percentage.

Detroit will be back in action on Saturday as the Titans fly to Colorado to battle the Air Force Falcons.
