National governing body’s youth tournaments open to boys’ and girls’ U11, U13 and U15 teams.
BALTIMORE, March 19, 2013 — US Lacrosse today announced it will accept team registrations for the US Lacrosse Championships, powered by Lacrosse Unlimited, through Thursday, April 25 at uslacrosse.org/events. The US Lacrosse Championships are the only summertime youth lacrosse tournaments administered by the sport’s national governing body, open to boys’ and girls’ teams in the U11, U13 and U15 age divisions.
The US Lacrosse Championships feature a four-game minimum guarantee at first-class venues, US Lacrosse-trained officials, US Lacrosse’s age-appropriate rules of play, certified athletic trainers on site, gold medals and “Keeper of Lacrosse” sportsmanship awards, and affordable team registration fees ($1,000 for a U11 team, $1,250 for a U13 team, and $1,350 for a U15 team) for rosters of up to 24 players and four coaches. In chronological order, the championships:
US Lacrosse Southeast Championships: June 7-9, Raleigh, N.C., WRAL Soccer Center (uslacrosse.org/2013southeastchampionships)
US Lacrosse Central Championships: June 14-16, Madison, Wis., Reddan Soccer Park (uslacrosse.org/2013centralchampionships)

In the U15 division, the top four teams at each regional championship will receive automatic bids with free or reduced registration to the fifth annual US Lacrosse U15 National Championship, powered by Lacrosse Unlimited, July 23-25 (girls) and 26-28 (boys) at ESPN Wide World of Sports in suburban Orlando.
“We have a national standard by which we’ve been running youth events for 16 years, and slots are filling up quickly in our four regional championships,” said Beth Porreca, director of special events at US Lacrosse. “Our tournaments provide athletes the opportunity to compete with class, honor the game, and develop relationships with teammates and opponents alike.”
At the US Lacrosse Southeast Championships, prior to the start of play one boys’ team and one girls’ team will be selected at random to receive a $250 registration credit, courtesy of the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance.
Coaches or team managers can register their teams at uslacrosse.org/events or at any of the individual event web pages above. Lacrosse Unlimited is the official retailer of the US Lacrosse Championships. Visit Lacrosse Unlimited at lacrosseunlimited.com.
