“We have traditional investors on this project, but we wanted to reach out to the community around us to help make this lacrosse film,” Williamson said. “By bringing people together to help fund the project through KickStarter, we not only get access to the production money we need, but people get excited about the project in the process.”
We had the opportunity to meet Williamson. He tells us a little about the film.
Williamson and his team are trying to raise the additional $70,000 for production of the film via the UN1TY KickStarter Project. Tribe-funding or crowdsourcing of artistic projects is built around giving incentives to those who help launch the project and the film UN1TY is no different. Incentives include getting your name in the film’s credits, pre-release copies of the film, digital download packages, autographed screenplays, spending a day on the set, shaving the director’s head, and many more.
