UCLA Men's Lacrosse to Host Youth Summer Camp, July 29-August 1

The UCLA Men’s Lacrosse team has announced that it will be hosting a summer camp for boys ages 7 to 17 from Monday, July 29 to Thursday, August 1. The camp will be overseen by Camp Director and current UCLA Head Coach Jacques Bagley, who beyond his seven years of coaching in Westwood has over six years of coaching experience at the international level with the US Indoor National Team in addition to a year as a professional coach in Major League Lacrosse.

Other UCLA coaches and current players will act as camp instructors and counselors, and special guests such as reigning MLL Rookie of the Year Matt Gibson will be on hand to give campers the best possible instruction. Players will learn sportsmanship and on-field conduct while improving individual skills and learning to play as a team. The camp will be split into age groups and by skill level, with instruction on proper form and the basic skills of lacrosse as well as advanced concepts.

Each day the camp will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Lunch will be included for campers and meals will be taken in the on-campus dining halls.

Registration can be completed online by going to https://secure.recreation.ucla.edu/Course/Search.aspx, selecting Su2013 from the drop down menu and then searching “Lacrosse.”

Additional questions about the camp can be sent to uclalaxcamp@gmail.com.
