The RUSH Becomes Official Video Supplier of Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA)

Auburn Hills, MI – The RUSH (www.therush.com) has agreed to become the official video supplier of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), a national organization of non-NCAA college lacrosse programs, making them the newest addition to the MCLA’s corporate partner program. The agreement will allow athletes, coaches, fans, alumni and supporters of the MCLA to receive instant video highlights of athletic events, in real time, using The RUSH sports video software.

The RUSH sports video software works as a text and web based service that enables teams to share athletic achievement instantly through smartphones, computers, and various social media platforms.

“The RUSH is honored to be chosen as the video media partner of the MCLA, and its official and exclusive provider of the organization’s mobile based video highlights for the 2012 season,” said Robby Kerch, Collegiate Sales Director for The RUSH. “We fully expect this partnership to be the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship with MCLA and its members.”

As the strategic partner for growing MCLA’s mobile-based communication efforts, The RUSH will help connect teams and players with their parents, alumni, and fans so they never miss a moment of the game. Through the partnership, teams can easily become more prominent by sharing game highlights with ease through social media platforms.

“MCLA is thrilled to welcome The RUSH to the growing MCLA corporate partner family,” stated Tony Scazzero, 2012 MCLA President who also serves as Texas A&M’s head coach. “MCLA recognizes and embraces the growing trend and need for teams in the MCLA to send time-sensitive information to mobile devices via text message. Through The RUSH alliance, the MCLA will present a new digital communications platform to instantly reach our members, colleagues, and associates within and outside the intercollegiate athletic community. As a growing organization, we are excited to provide this as another way for teams to enrich their programs”

MCLA will begin its agreement with The RUSH starting this 2012 lacrosse season. For more information on how your organization can utilize The RUSH, contact Robby Kerch (RKerch@therush.com |314.650.2262).

About Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association
The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) is a national organization of non-varsity college lacrosse programs with over 200 teams in two divisions. The purpose of the MCLA is to grow the men’s college game by providing a quality collegiate lacrosse experience to its members. The MCLA’s 10 affiliated conferences consist of teams in 44 states and one Canadian Province, and represent the fastest growing segment of collegiate men’s lacrosse. The MCLA provides a governing structure much like the NCAA, consisting of eligibility rules, regulation of competition, inter-conference play, All American teams, Scholastic Achievement recognition and a national tournament in both Division I and Division II. On an individual scale, the MCLA’s rules and structure promote “virtual varsity” lacrosse. On a national scale, the MCLA’s infrastructure supports a level playing field through eligibility rules and enforcement, and the use of BCAA rules of play.
