The Best Lacrosse Play You'll See All Day, Michael Ortlieb
Share
July 7, we turned you guys onto a legit uncommitted Goalie from Corona del Mar High School in California. The kid's name is Michael Ortlieb '12. He's relatively unheard of because he hasn't always been his team's goalie. Nope, he used to be the team's leading scorer just a year ago at Attack. SportsForceOnline.com, a college recruiting company, posted a video of Ortlieb diving across the crease a la Brian Carcaterra.
The goalie is caught outside of his crease on a botched clearing attempt. His Defenseman throws it to the riding attackman on the crease and the goalie has no other choice but to dive. Quite an athletic save. Cue Flow Bucket bottom left at the :05 mark.
Here is his full highlight video from the 2011 season. Let us know what you think of his moves in the comments section below.

It just looks bad cuz theres usually only 2-3 stars on a team and the rest just suck.. cali lax will get there tho you guys just have a headstart haha
Pretty sure we put like 11 in on that kid
kids got game but would really like to see how we would do in a hotbed area where every team has got more than one or two ringers on the roster and every other shot isnt within three yards and shot stick side high….should be committing soon anyone know his options yet?
I must say their great.
haha! I remember that diving save it was so crazy
