Dallas Jesuit held strong at the top and we gave a big bump to Westlake this week after their 11-8 win over Houston Christian. Leading 9-2 at halftime, Westlake looks like they've put the pieces together and are going into the end of the season with a lot of momentum. Highland Park may very well deserve a spot in the top 10, but we're waiting a bigger win and more than just some close losses to elite teams before throwing them back in the mix. A win over Plano this week might just do the trick. After struggling mightily earlier in the season Austin High sneaks in at our last spot on the strength of their recent tear of wins.

1. Dallas Jesuit: We're starting to wonder if going through the season without a loss to a Texas team is a possibility for this Dallas Jesuit squad. They have a tough schedule from here on out, but there's yet to be a team to knock them off. Despite some early season questions on the offensive end, the Rangers keep rolling along and racking up wins over quality opponents. With a 12-4 win over #7 Coppell the Rangers have our #1 spot on lock down right now.

2. St. Mark's: St. Mark's put together a solid win over a young Highland Park team this week. A game that could prove to test the Lion's will be the Coppell matchup on Thursday. We believe the Lions will hold form and set up a HUGE game with Dallas Jesuit to end the regular season on 4/19.

3. Westlake: The team beat in the Central District kept things rolling this week with a solid win over St. Stephens and impressive 11-8 victory #6 Houston Christian. We may catch some flack here for bumping them up, but the Chaps seem to be playing their best ball right now.

4. Woodlands: Standing strong in the fourth spot, the Highlanders are looking good and had a big win over Lamar this week. We know they own a head-to-head victory over Westlake from earlier this season, but Westlake's recent win over HCHS at this point in the season makes gave them the temporary bump.

5. ESD: The Eagles hold strong in the top 5. We believe this team is very good, however, their conference record doesn't show it. They will have to win out in order to solidify a spot for the playoffs. While they own a huge win over Westlake earlier in the season, the game has a small asterisk as Westlake played most the game without their head coach on the sideline and it's looking to be more of a blip in the road than a dominating trend.

6. St. John's: The Mavericks answered some questions for us with a nice 15-8 win over EHS. They look to be a strong contender out of the South to make a run into early May. They had two close losses this weekend to two powerhouse teams in Virginia, and we think that St. John's is going to make some waves come tournament time.

7. Houston Christian: The loss to Westlake bumps these guys down a spot but we still believe them to be a top contender for the South District title. Curious that they only beat Anderson by 1 goal on Friday night, but we're not sure if are a little inconsistent or if they were almost caught looking ahead to Saturday's game against Westlake.

8. Coppell: With the loss to Dallas Jesuit, we will put the Cowboys right at the #8 spot. Another tough test looms with St. Mark's on Thursday. If the Cowboys could pull off the upset it would surely boost them up the board.

9. Plano: The Wildcats hold strong this week with a good win over a solid Hillcrest team. With Dallas Jesuit and Highland Park on the schedule this week, we will see if Plano can stay in the top 10.
10. Austin: Some would argue for Highland Park or Westwood in this spot, and they would have very valid arguments. But we are shaking things up and going with the Maroon's this week. Their big three of Reader, Hebert, and Schwertfeger seem to have this team rolling. We will soon find out if they deserve this spot as Austin plays Westwood on Tuesday at 6pm.

On the cusp: Westwood, Highland Park, Strake Jesuit
