Syracuse's Jovan Miller Rides The Wave

Hey Lacrosse Playground Fans, I just wanted to say thank you for another opportunity to share my views with you. It has been awhile since I've spoken to all the followers and I apologize for that. If you've followed me and my senior class, you would know it has been quite a collection of talent assembled on one team. God has truly blessed me with 12 brothers that I will never forget for as long as I live. But it's not the 2 National Championships that make me so fortunate to be apart of them, it has been the ride on the way to our last year.

When we entered college we were not expected to be among the "greats" and as the hype began to swirl around other teams we stayed the course that was assigned to us. I would've never thought two of my best friend's would be the Midfielder of the Year (Joel White) and Goalkeeper of the Year (John Galloway). The more I think about my class, the more surreal it feels. I encourage you to cherish the times you have, stick to your grind and appreciate what makes you individually unique but so similar too.

My career as a Syracuse Orangeman is in its last gear and I realized although the pride of your school and your teammates consists of the letters across your chest, the friendships are the one thing you can always revert back to. After this year, I will be a ghost, #23 will be on another player's back, and the memories of myself will be erased by the test of time.

BUT, while I still can garner the letters SYRACUSE across my jersey, me and my team will make sure to devote our time to building a brotherhood through the sport. Lacrosse means something different to everyone, and I encourage you to find the meaning of it in you.

Thank you for your time,

Jovan Miller (A.K.A. Jovi Nation)
