BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh senior attacker Carli Sukonik was awarded Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after her stellar performances against UC Davis and Niagara. The Penn Valley, Pa. native contributed seven goals while adding two assists over a pair of wins for the Mountain Hawks.

Sukonik began her week by scoring four of Lehigh's seven goals in a 7-2 victory over UC Davis on a frigid Friday afternoon. Her performance was highlighted by her 100th career goal just over three minutes into the game.

Sukonik added to her illustrious resume with another impressive performance on Sunday against Niagara. She tallied three goals and an assist on Sunday to propel Lehigh to a 14-7 win. Sukonik did her damage early as all her goals came within the game's first 19 minutes. Sukonik ignited the Mountain Hawks to a 7-2 halftime lead and they never looked back.

For the season, Sukonik has a team-high eight goals and 10 points. Her eight goals rank fifth in the Patriot League and 42nd in the country. This is the second time Sukonik has garnered Offensive Player of the Week honors in her career. She was also named Offensive Player of the Week last April after tallying three goals and one assist in Lehigh's double overtime win at Boston University.

Sophomore midfielder Lauren Beausoleil and junior midfielder Kendall Garden were both recognized with honorable mention laurels as well. Beausoleil finished the week with six points (four goals, two assists), two groundballs, eight draw controls, and four caused turnovers while Garden tallied five points (four goals, one assist), five groundballs and a team-high seven caused turnovers.

The Mountain Hawks return to action on Saturday at home against Fairfield. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. from the Ulrich Sports Complex.
