Steve McQueen Special Edition Collection Persol Sunglasses

I love Steve McQueen. He's up there with James Dean, Paul Newman, and Charlie Sheen. He was the quintessential bad ass. You don't get the nickname "The King of Cool" for nothing. He served in the Marines, raced bikes and cars, chased women, had a 9th degree blackbelt, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris both trained him, had a pilot's license, and was numero uno on Charles Manson's celebrity death list. He also wore a spectacular pair of shades.

Steve McQueen walked on the set of The Thomas Crown Affair with this pair of Persol PO 714 SM. After more than 40 years, Persol celebrated the actor by re-launching his favorite model in a special edition of just 10,000 handmade pieces.

As with all Persol products, these Blue lenses are made from high quality crystal for the clearest possible vision and are incredibly thin, light and comfortable. The blue tinted lenses also include an added anti-reflective layer to reduce glare.

For your added convenience, there is a folding system at the back and ends of the temple arms, allowing you to easily tuck and store your shades as you travel. Persol's distinctive mark, the Supreme Arrow, is a functional element enclosing the hinges, mounted both on the temple arm and the front of the frame allowing them to fold. The Steven McQueen signature is etched on the inside of the temple arm.

The Persol sunglasses come in a variety of colors such as Black, Brown and Tortoise. Available at Sunglasshut.com.
