Ocean City Classic has become known for crazy and outrageous jerseys and this year did NOT disappoint. One of the big winners from the weekend was Team Illadelph's Quint Kessenich jerseys. We have received a lot of inquiries about the uniform, the inspiration and who manufactured it so we reached out to one of the founding members of Illadelph, Carl Ray, to explain it for us. Below is his reasoning for placing the ESPN announcer's mug all over their unis.
We decided to do this, because we had to top last years uniform, the bikini tops (View HERE). We're always trying to do something that has never been done before. At the same time we wanted to highlight Lacrossewear's new product, which is the ability to screen print high resolution photos onto clothing. We wanted to pay homage to the face of the sport by making his face our uniform. We topped the whole thing off with Nike Volt socks. The reaction was just what we were going for. We caught everyones eyes and everyone had to do a double take. Lacrossewear is always pushing the limits of what can be done with apparel. We're going to continue to push the limit next year too. I don't know what I'm going to come up with but it will be a head turner. Also, big shot out to Scott and Bo from Lacrossewear. We wouldn't have been able to pull this off without their help.
