Two of Maryland’s most recognized girls lacrosse clubs are merging to create one of the nation’s top programs. “Elite Lacrosse” and “Rip & Run Lacrosse Club” are combining to create an organization that will provide both a challenging and motivating atmosphere for a greater number of athletes in the greater Baltimore area.
The combined organization will be known as “Rip & Run Elite”. Brian Casserly, the current Rip and Run Director, and Krystin Porcella, the Director of Elite Lacrosse, will now share the role as joint club directors. Each brings his/her own lacrosse knowledge and expertise that will enhance one overall program even more so than each currently provides.
In a joint statement issued by Porcella and Casserly, they stated that “Combining the clubs will bring together the very best in coaching and training opportunities for our athletes. Over the years we have worked together on a number of projects and share the same philosophies and beliefs. With both programs expanding geographically, it made more sense for us to work together than to compete.”
Rip & Run Elite will offer the highest level of coaching available. In addition to the specialized instruction from both Directors, and coaches, the executive staff will include a new recruiting coordinator.
This innovative, joint venture will help bring together athletes from a broad range of areas and build upon their current skills and strengths with the opportunity to be led by an even larger team of quality coaches and staff, led by Casserly and Porcella.
