PYLA & Team Philadelphia Hire Jack Morrison as New Director



King of Prussia, PA -- September 27, 2011 - Philadelphia Youth Lacrosse Association (P.Y.L.A.) and Team Philadelphia are proud to announce Jack Morrison as their new director of lacrosse operations. Jack’s coaching credentials include several years as an assistant coach and the defensive coordinator for St. Joseph’s University and also for the San Francisco Dragons in Major League Lacrosse.

“We are really excited to have Jack come on board to share his knowledge and passion for the game of lacrosse,” said Tom Slate. “He has a wealth of experience and will be invaluable in helping our players land scholarships at the college level.”

Jack is a native of Ridley, PA, and played in high school for nationally recognized Ridley High School. Collegiately, Jack was a standout defensive player at Whittier College in California and was selected to play in the prestigious NCAA Division III North-South All-Star game in his senior year.

“I am looking forward to working with Coach Slate again and helping him grow the PYLA,” said Morrison. “PYLA and Team Philadelphia have built a tremendous program and one that I feel will help many Philadelphia players achieve their goal of playing at the collegiate level.”

About the P.Y.L.A. and Team Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Youth Lacrosse All-Stars (P.Y.L.A.) and Team Philadelphia were designed to give youth and high school players the opportunity to not only learn from some of the greatest lacrosse minds in the area but play against some of the best players from around the country their age. The purpose of the P.Y.L.A and Team Philadelphia is to create an All-Star team for boys from greater Philadelphia area that will compete in 4 select tournaments around the country in the summer of 2012.
