Pipe City Lacrosse Announces 2012 Festival Registration

CHICAGO, Feb. 10, 2012 –The Pipe City Lacrosse Festival is pleased to announce open registration for its 2012 youth tournament. Pipe City will be held July 21 and 22 in Vernon Hills, Ill. and will feature 100 teams at different age and skill levels, competing on 15 fields over two days of competition. The champion of each Pipe City division will automatically qualify for participation in the 2013 NDP Tournament of Champions in Tampa, Fla. Pipe City is the Midwest’s largest youth lacrosse tournament.
Pipe City registration is open at pipecitylacrossefestival.com to teams in the following age and skill levels:
Under 9 Open
Under 11 Open
Under 13
Under 15
Under 17 Junior Varsity
Under 19 Varsity
Adult Open
“We are thrilled to present the region’s premier lacrosse competition,” said Gary Hoppe, Director of the Pipe City Lacrosse Festival. “Last year’s festival attracted more than 60 teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas and Wisconsin, and our 2012 event promises to be bigger and better. As lacrosse grows in popularity throughout the Midwest, an event of this magnitude is important, both for exposing new audiences to the game and showcasing the exceptional level of talent native to our region”
