NCAA Lacrosse: Men’s and Women’s Championship Weekend from Philadelphia

Top-seeded Notre Dame leads the field for the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Northwestern Mutual on ESPN2 on Saturday, May 23, and Monday, May 25, from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The semifinals will be shown on ESPN2 and WatchESPN as seed Notre Dame faces No. 4 seed Denver at 1 p.m., followed by Johns Hopkins vs. No. 6 seed Maryland at 3:30 p.m. The 2015 season will culminate with the National Championship Monday at 1 p.m., also on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.
Eamon McAnaney (former Notre Dame defenseman) will call the action analyst Quint Kessenich (former Johns Hopkins goalkeeper) and sideline reporter/analyst Paul Carcaterra (former Syracuse midfielder). Kessenich and Carcaterra both played in four NCAA Championships and each won a national title with their teams.
image004.jpgAnish Shroff will host ESPN’s studio coverage with analyst Ryan Flanagan (former North Carolina defenseman) for the semifinals on Saturday.
The National Championship game on Monday will also air on ESPNU with the Spider Cam feed – an alternate viewing fan experience that is who integrated into the traditional telecast.
The women’s championship weekend opens from PPL Park, also in Philadelphia, Friday, May 22, with the national semifinals on ESPN3 showcasing No. 3 seed Duke vs. No. 2 seed North Carolina at 5 p.m., followed by No. 4 seed Syracuse vs. No. 1 seed Maryland at 7:30 p.m. The title game on Sunday, May 24, airs at 8:30 p.m. on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
Joe Beninati will have the call of the three women’s games with analyst Courtney Martinez Connor (Maryland All-American) and reporter Sheehan Stanwick Burch (four-time Georgetown All-American).
