Morrisville State Men’s Lacrosse Joins The Wounded Warrior Project For Second Year
Share
The Morrisville State College men’s lacrosse program teamed up with the Wounded Warriors Project, this past weekend in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action against Hilbert College. Last year the Mustangs raised $4,500 for the Wounded Warriors Project in the first year hosting an event. Founded in 2003, the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was created to honor and empower wounded warriors who acquire service-connected wounds, injuries and illnesses while serving in our country’s military branches. The project provides comprehensive programs and services to wounded warriors and their families.
The WWP program is near to the hearts of Morrisville State men’s lacrosse players, as several have siblings, parents or other family members serving in our nation’s military units. All gate proceeds from the contest were donated to the WWP program, along with revenue received from general donations, programs and raffles. Also, Morrisville State is holding an online jersey auction for jersey’s worn during the commemorative event. Bid for a jersey by clicking here.
