WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University senior Garrett Conaway (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty), the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and All-MAAC First Team honoree, was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/LaxWorld 2015 Division I/II South All-Star Team.

The 74th USILA/LaxWorld North-South Games will be played at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 22, 2015. The Division III All-Star game will be held at 3:00 p.m. and the Division I/II All-Star game will be held at 5:30 p.m.

Monmouth head coach Brian Fisher stated, "I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to coach a lot of really good goalies during my career and Garrett ranks up there with the best of them. Garrett has a great work ethic and put in a lot of time with Coach McCutcheon during his time with us."

Fisher added, "He improved tremendously this past year and anchored a defense that played great for us. I am excited for him to have the opportunity to play In Friday's game and that he is Monmouth's first representative in the North/South game."

Conaway, who appeared in all 27 games in his two seasons with the Blue & White, was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season and made double-digit saves in a game nine times this year, while leading the Hawks to the MAAC semifinals in the program's second year of existence.
