WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – For a second season, the Monmouth University Men’s Lacrosse program will host a youth clinic (grades 3-8), with donations benefitting the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) on Saturday, March 21 at Monmouth Stadium, prior to the Hawks' Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest with Siena, which will air on ESPN3.

“It is our honor to partner with Wounded Warrior Project and recognize their efforts to support our men and women who have sacrificed so much while serving in our armed forces at our game this weekend versus Siena,” stated second-year head coach Brian Fisher.

In addition, the Hawks' program will celebrate Veterans Appreciation Day during the 1:00 p.m. contest.

Fisher added, "We truly appreciate everything that our Veterans stand for and the commitment they have made to serve our country and to protect our freedom.”

The day's events start with a FREE youth clinic (grades 3-8) from 10-11:15 a.m. on Kessler Field at Monmouth Stadium, sponsored by Trilogy Lacrosse. The Hawks will then face MAAC foe Siena at 1:00 p.m. For more information and to sign up for the clinic, visit Trilogy Lacrosse.

Donations to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project will be accepted to support a full range of programs and services for this generation of Wounded Warriors and their families.

Over 50,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while on deployment. WWP’s 19 programs and services are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.
