University of Albany men's head lacrosse coach and 2007 NCAA Division I Coach of the Year Scott Marr will be on-hand to explain the fundamental and technical aspects of a team offense and how to best convey it to your players. Coach Marr's offensive presentation will be followed by a detailed explanation of defensive strategies and slides by Dartmouth College men's head lacrosse coach Andy Towers. New York State Championship winning coach Bill Cherry ('09 & '10) from Manhasset (NY) High School will also be sharing with coaches his approach to building a successful youth lacrosse organization that gels and grows together while fostering a championship winning high school program.
Attending coaches will also be treated to specialized presentations on the expectations of a face-off player, goaltending and getting the inside edge by Coach Towers. Coach Cherry will also take attendees through and explain the use of up-tempo practice drills and how they will prepare your team for game day success. At the conclusion of the evening, Maverik will give attendees the rare opportunity to pick the brains of these premier coaches during a twenty minute Q&A session.
"We are really happy to be able to provide coaches in the southwest with the opportunity to learn from the best," said John Gagliardi President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse.
