Major League Lacrosse Partners with Northeastern University, Continued Education for Professional Athletes

Boston, Mass. (Thurs., July 18, 2013) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced a partnership with Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies to develop a scholarship program for MLL players. This program will provide MLL athletes with an opportunity to enroll in the College's bachelor or master's degree programs to further their educational goals while continuing to compete at the highest level of their sport.

"Northeastern's College of Professional Studies offers a unique opportunity for MLL players to continue their educational goals and gain experiences and tools, either online or at campuses around the country, to help them succeed in today's ever changing global environment."
The College of Professional Studies offers over 65 programs of study both in the classroom and online andfosters a learning environment for students where programs taught are grounded in theory and applied in practice. With a faculty comprised of scholars and industry leaders whose real-world experiences are put into practice in the classroom, the College provides a rich academic curriculum that reflects the needs of all its students. As the College of Professional Studies continues to evolve with industry needs, it will prepare students for success in the global arena and will provide opportunities for career advancement.
