Boston, Mass. (April 19, 2011) - Major League Lacrosse has announced an exciting partnership with LiveShare by Cooliris, a free mobile application that will allow fans to upload their photos to the web and even appear on the Jumbotron in select venues.
“MLL is always looking to enhance the in-game experience for our fans and LiveShare is an innovative application that does just that,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “The app will allow fans to become part of the experience by sharing their photos in real-time with each other, online, and on the big screen.”
The application allows fans to share photos of their personal experiences at MLL games. Photos taken during pre-game, in-game and post-game activities by LiveShare users will be automatically uploaded to the Major League Lacrosse Facebook page and corresponding team pages. Venues with access to Jumbotrons will feature the photos on the big screen during games, giving fans their 15 seconds of fame.
“We are thrilled to partner with Major League Lacrosse to enhance the fan experience throughout the season. This partnership provides a new way for fans to share the defining moments of the games as they unfold, on your mobile device or the web,” commented Hamon Parvizi, Business Development, Cooliris.
The free downloadable app can be accessed by iPhone in the iTunes store, Android at Android Market or Windows Phone 7 at Windows Marketplace. Users will be able to share their photos to Facebook and Twitter, bringing their friends into the live game action.
Fans without an iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone 7 can still upload their own photos by visiting www.liveshare.com and selecting the featured Major League Lacrosse stream.
