Laxachusetts 2012 Graduating Class

Laxachusetts 2012 Graduating Class

(Boston, MA) -- It has been an exciting 3 years for the folks at Laxachusetts. The commitment to make a character based club that focused on player development led to our first group as a united front in the 2012 class. 55 young men graduating in 2012 will be attending great colleges to get an education where they will play lacrosse. These young men took the lessons of being great students and great people to heart and were able to capture opportunities at some of the finest schools in the country. It is a long road in the Laxachusetts program- there are multiple tryouts, countless evaluations and countless character based rules to follow. Not what one would expect when joining a “club.” But that is exactly what the founders had in mind when they joined forces. And they knew if the 2012s bought into the formula, there would great opportunities for the young men to pursue.

Many of the 2012s (those who were not on vacation or at winter sports events) gathered on the steps of the State Capitol a few Sundays ago to commemorate their accomplishments. They and some family members had dinner together afterwards. The night was summed up best by the most popular player in the class, Jo Jo Barton, a goalie from BC High who will be attending Merrimack College. He tweeted #Laxachusetts #Family.
