Lao-Gosneys to play in first MLL game together Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Former Lehigh men’s lacrosse standouts Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney will play their first Major League Lacrosse game together Saturday (Aug. 4) when the Hamilton Nationals host the Charlotte Hounds. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN3.com. It will mark the first time the two hit the field since Cameron was traded from the Hounds in mid-July. Roman will wear #11 and Cameron #26, the same number he wore for Charlotte.

Roman has played in three MLL games for Hamilton, owning a shot and three groundballs. Meanwhile, Cameron has played in three for Charlotte, firing a pair of shots. Both Lao-Gosneys have played extensively at defensive midfield as well.

The Nationals will wrap up their season next Saturday (Aug. 11) against Long Island.

In addition, both Cameron and Roman were selected by the New Jersey Rascals in the recent PLL (Professional Lacrosse League) draft. Roman was picked in the ninth round (35th overall) and Cameron in the 10th (40th overall). Sam Bradman (Salisbury), Steele Stanwick (Virginia) and C.J. Constabile (Duke) were the first three picks, respectively.

The new indoor league kicks off in September. The Rascals begin play on Friday, Sept. 14 against Reading in Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J.
