EASTON, Pa. - Men’s lacrosse head coach Jim Rogalski has announced the addition of 12 newcomers to the Leopards’ program as part of the class of 2016. Three incoming student-athletes hail from New Jersey, while New York and Pennsylvania each have two. The final five come to College Hill from Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Virginia.
“We’re extremely excited about this incoming class,” Rogalski said. “We have very high expectations for them on and off the field and look forward to how they will impact our program.”
The additions to the Class of 2016 are as follows:
Eric Adler (New Vernon, N.J./The Lawrenceville School): Played on the four-time MAPL championship team...participated in four years of lacrosse, earning three varsity letters...took part in water polo and indoor track...member of the Honor Roll his senior year...participated in the Young Republicans Club and was co-founder and president of the Surf Club.
Michael Comiskey (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City): Participated in an undefeated season his senior year, winning the New York State Championship...was on back-to-back Long Island championship teams his sophomore and junior years...played three years of football and one year of basketball, winning the Nassau County Championship his senior year in football...A four-year selection to the Honor Roll, he was a member of the National Honor Society.
Brendan Dunlap (Winfield, Ill./Wheaton North): Holds all-time records in goals (122), assists (54) and points (176)...Three-time member of the All-Conference squad and was named captain and team MVP his junior and senior years...member of the Class B State Championship team in 2010...Started and lettered all four years in lacrosse, as well as playing two years of football...Four-year member of the Honor Roll and four-time DVC All-Academic squad member...Won the Derek J. Hernandez Memorial Scholarship award for top senior lacrosse player.
Ben Falcone (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh): Recorded a .640 save percentage his senior year, going 15-4...earned two varsity letters in lacrosse, football and squash...Member of the Honor Roll...Vice President of the Paddle Tennis Club and member of the Jazz Band.
Daniel Gallagher (Ardmore, Pa./The Shipley School): Earned four varsity letters in lacrosse and soccer, captaining both teams...member of a team that won the Friends League Championship four times...All-League and All-Main Line with 203 career points.
Ryan Lawyer (Wayzata, Minn./Benilde St. Margaret’s): Won two state championships as a four-year starter...played three years of varsity football and ice hockey...earned three lacrosse letters and was a two-time First Team All-League selection and 2012 First Team All-State choice...was a four-year member of the Honor Roll, part of the National Honor Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Michael Marchetta (Huntingdon, N.Y./Huntingdon): Played three years of varsity lacrosse and ran one year of winter track...won the Most Improved Player award on his team...member of the Honor Roll and Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Evan McQuiston (Warren, N.J./Delbarton): Played four years of varsity lacrosse and soccer...won Non-Public State Championships in 2011 and 2012...member of the Honor Roll.
Dick Millard (Dulles, Va./Concord-Carlisle): Earned four varsity letters in lacrosse and two letters in football.
Broderick Smith (Groton, Mass./Bishop Guertin): Played two years of lacrosse, football and track...won three state championships in lacrosse...captained his lacrosse and football teams and was an All-State LSM...was a three-year Honor Roll member and was part of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society...winner of the Senior Scholar-Athlete Award and Joe Yukica Scholar-Athlete Award...Vice President of his class and Treasurer of the French National Honor Society.
Kevin Wanke (Skillman, N.J./Montgomery): Started four years on the lacrosse and ice hockey squads...member of the Honor Roll for all four years.
Morgan Westby (Villanova, Pa./The Episcopal Academy): Won the Inter-Ac Invitational his senior year and was named to the All-Tournament team...Scored 41 goals and had nine assists his senior year...Named to the First Team All-Inter Ac, All-Delco, All-Phillylacrosse.com, All-EPSLA, All-Philly Inquirer and All-Mainline squads...Captained his senior squad...Was a US Lacrosse All-American.
