Help Cornell Men's Lacrosse As They Press For Sandy Relief

ITHACA, N.Y. – In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Big Red men's lacrosse team is asking the Cornell and Ithaca communities to come together and help raise money for the American Red Cross. All 43 members of the Cornell squad will spend this week seeking donations for the Pressing For Sandy Relief initiative.

At the team's morning workout on Friday, Nov. 16, each member of the squad will be tested in the 135-pound bench press. The object will be to complete as many repetitions at one time as possible and donors are asked to pledge a dollar amount for each repetition completed.

If you would like to make a donation or sponsor a member of the team, contact assistant coach Paul Richards at par222@cornell.edu, or call (607) 255-0040.

You can help people affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy, as well as countless crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters.
