What head do you use?
For the fall and winter I have been using Warrior's Revolution X 6. It's really stiff and doesn't bend and pretty narrow. I just strung up a Warrior Noz which I think I'll use this spring. It's a little wider, which I like, but it seems really flimsy. So I hope it holds up and doesn't snap.
What handle do you use?
I use the Dolomite pole. I like the somewhat smooth grip and it's not too flashy. Just plain grey. It also doesn't bend as much as the others. Sometimes I'll switch it with a Krypto-light since that's a little lighter.
Where does your pocket sit/what type of pocket do you prefer?
I like my pocket as high as possible and not too deep for a quick release after a ground ball.
Who is your stick doctor? Do you string it yourself or have a go-to-teammate/friend?
Alex Capretta, a sophomore, usually helps me out. I've been trying to learn how to string a stick from him so I know how to make adjustments to it during practice.
What kind of mesh do you use (Hard, soft, traditional/leathers, marc , etc.)? Why?
I use hardmesh. I can break in it after a while and then it keeps a pretty good pocket.
What is your preferred glove?
I really like Warriors' Sugar Daddys. We got a pair for the tournament last year and they were awesome. They are pretty tight on your hands, kind of fit like a glove, with not a lot of extra padding so you could move your wrists and hands around a lot.
How much whip does your stick have?
I probably have close to zero whip.
Anything unique you do to your head or shaft (pocket up-keep, tape jobs, alterations, etc.)?
I put barely any tape at the bottom of my shaft. Maybe a little ring at the bottom.
How long do you keep a stick before you get a new one?
Last year I used the same mesh all season. I went through about three heads but just kept replacing the mesh exactly how I had it before. I went threw a few poles but they always get bent so I don't really care about that.
What’s most important to you in a stick/what makes a good stick?
I have to be able to throw consistently so it takes me awhile to break in a stick to how I like it. Once I get it there I don't change anything.
