Grand Final Fever Hits Western Australia Lacrosse
Share
The 2014 Western Australian Lacrosse Season is about the wrap up for year but not without some action packed Championship Games this Saturday 13th September 2014.
The headline games will be live streamed for the first time in Lacrosse WA history and will showcase the best the men and women of Western Australia have to offer. All championship games will be played at the East Fremantle Lacrosse Club.
In the men’s State League Game, reigning champions Bayswater, take on host club East Fremantle in a 2013 grand final rematch. Bayswater finished second on the ladder in the regular season cub competition and feature players include Australian Goalkeeper Warren Brown and midfielder Thomas Graham. East Fremantle who finished third, won’t let this rattle them though with Western Australian Head Coach Gavin Leavy directing them from the coaches box.
In the Women’s game, the East Fremantle Blues will play on arch rivals Wembley in what always proves to be a game skill and fierce competition. Match-ups to look out for on the day include Australian players Jessica Kennedy (East Fremantle) who we no doubt will line up on former Vermont defender from Wembley, Rebecca Banyard. Tegan Brown from East Fremantle who played midfield at Syracuse will also be a player to watch in attack along with Australian Goalkeeper Elizabeth Hinks guarding Wembley’s cage.
