Graham Named Vassar College Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (December 22, 2011) -- Marc Graham, who served as the Defensive Coordinator at Trinity College for five seasons, leading the Bantoms to the top-ranked scoring defense in the NESCAC in the 2010 season, has been named head men's lacrosse coach at Vassar College. Graham becomes the eighth coach in program history, and comes to Vassar from Defiance (OH) College where he was the program's first-ever head coach.

While at Trinity, Graham coordinated all recruiting efforts and was actively involved in all aspects of training, coaching and practice planning. He coached five All-New England Small College Athletic Conference players during his time at Trinity (2005-2010).

"Coach Graham comes to us after having been an integral part of the success of men's lacrosse at Trinity College and understands our needs at Vassar," said Dr. Sharon Beverly, Director of Athletics & Physical Education. "We look forward to a new era of men's lacrosse at Vassar and with coach Graham aboard are excited about the future."

Prior to joining the staff at Trinity in 2005, Graham spent 11 years coaching football, women's basketball and men's lacrosse at South Windsor High. His tenure with the lacrosse team resulted in trips to the Connecticut Division II State Finals in 1995 and 1996 and a Connecticut Division II State Championship in 1999.

Graham lettered in football and lacrosse at Dean Junior College, prior to earning a bachelor's degree in recreation management from Springfield College in 1994.
