Game Photos: Easton, San Fran Fall Lacrosse Classic

This past weekend was a special treat for the San Francisco lacrosse community. The second annual 'San Fran Fall Lacrosse Classic' featured an amazing game between two powerhouses in Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame live and direct from Kezar Stadium (the former home of such teams like the San Francisco Dragons and 49'ers) in front of close to 5,000 spectators.

Although the 'main event' was a huge draw, the day was jam packed with lacrosse for all age groups. The great minds at Easton Lacrosse (Doug Appleton & Blake and Cort Kim) sponsored a clinic for the kids on the field before the game that had tomorrow's stars getting hands on teaching from ND and JHU players...and in the stands, ND head coach Kevin Corrigan and JHU frontman Dave Pietramala held a coaches clinic for the Bay Area coaches.

The best part of the day (besides the game, of course) was probably the public unveiling of the Easton Lacrosse sponsored athletes...are you ready for this?!? Newly signed Casey Powell, Brett Queener, and Michael Evans were on hand to sign autographs, hand out stickers and show off the new 2011 Easton product line. There was even a pick up game that featured Casey Powell and Brett Queener vs. 20 or so youth players...I won't tell you who won.

I have to say I was proud to see such a great outpouring from fans in the Bay Area. As an 'eastcoaster' it was cool to be on hand to such a great lacrosse event on the West Coast.
