February 18, 2014 (Delray Beach, FL)-ELEV|8 Sports Institute and its Snipers Lacrosse team will be hosting free tryouts for the 2014 summer season at American Heritage Delray in Delray Beach on Sunday, March 9. Tryouts begin at 9 a.m. for those 11 and under, and at 11 a.m. for those 15 and under. There is no cost for tryouts.
“Over the years, our program has grown to be recognized as one of the most competitive programs in the southeast,” says Tony Lowe, director of lacrosse at the Delray Beach-based ELEV|8 Sports Institute. “This year, we’re dedicated to building on our strong foundation and reputation to make this our best season ever.”
The Snipers program is directed by Lowe and Jeff Goldberg – both nationally recognized for their success in coaching players who went on to receive Division 1 college scholarships. Goldberg has coached 45 players named as High School All-Americans and currently has 30 of his former player competing at the college level. Lowe, who was the highest scoring player among Division 1 schools in 2003 while attending Lehigh University, is the founder of Snipers Lacrosse.
“The players on our Snipers teams receive expert coaching from the best staff in Florida,” Goldberg said. “Our team sizes are limited so we can provide more personalized instruction for those who are still learning fundamentals as well as to those who have been playing for many years.”
Those in the Snipers program can expect:
• Teams with a maximum of 20 players
• Speed and agility training at every practice
• More tournaments
• No “dad” coaches
• Coaching enhanced by player tracking software
