Fairfield Men’s Lacrosse Player Blog, That DUUDE

The 2012 season is here and we wanted to work closely with college programs to bring a part of the excitement to you. Throughout the 2012 season we will highlight lacrosse programs on our space for all of our readers to follow. Player blogs serve as a unique outlet for programs to showcase their season as it develops, plus highlight everything they have to offer a student-athlete. In contrast, families and fans get a glimpse into the program’s athletic and academic regimen.

Back at it for round 2. Big, Big win for the boys this past weekend against a real good Stony Brook team. While it wasn't my best day in the goal everyone played well on both sides of the ball and we got the first of what we hope to be a lot of wins this season.

Studman Sam did his west coast thing with 5 goals on the day and got the broadway hat (#NYR). Also that DUUDE #44 Johnny Snell had a couple of snipes. He's been shooting well all spring so that comes as no surprise. As for Brent Adams, well he's just Brent enough said kids – does it all.

And last but not least the unsung hero award for me was Gordie Wells. While he may not be on the points board, he did a lot of little things from tough GBs, picked passes and just good all around tough D.

Next up Bryant this Saturday. Got to get some revenge from that one goal loss last year. Got a lot of games coming up the next few weeks so we really gotta keep this thing going.

Especially that one at the hometown foe Hofstra, back on the LI. That should be a fun one!
