ESPN RISE today announced the second annual Warrior 40 will expand to include four cities across the country to search for the best rising high school lacrosse athletes nationwide, culminating in the Warrior 40 Final Competition, a three-day event held at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., on June 7-9, 2011.
The four regional camps will take place in the regions of: Denver; Long Island, N.Y.; Baltimore and Boston. At the Warrior 40 regional camps, athletes will receive advanced, one-on-one instruction and compete against the nation’s best, ultimately narrowing down the entire lacrosse national playing field to only 40 elite high school players, named the 2011 Warrior 40.
The final Warrior 40 athletes will then attend the Final Competition in July at Harvard University, a three-day event comprised of improving lacrosse players’ knowledge on and off the field.
Players must be recommended and pre-registered in order to attend, but the events are open to media and public spectators.
