DU Men's Lacrosse Announces Minor Schedule Change

DENVER – University of Denver men’s lacrosse head coach Bill Tierney announced today that the Pioneers have moved their game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from Saturday, March 17 to Sunday, March 18 at 11 a.m. MT in South Bend, Ind.
The game will also receive national television exposure, as a contract has been signed to broadcast the game on ESPNU.
As the defending ECAC champions for the second straight year, the University of Denver men’s lacrosse team will play in its final exhibition of the preseason against the U.S. National Team in the 2012 Champion Challenge on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 11:30 a.m. MT, at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The Pioneers return the majority of their Final Four team from last season, including Second-Team All-American Mark Matthews, and sophomore Jeremy Noble, DU’s first-ever NCAA All-Tournament Team selection. Also returning are senior captain and 2010 All-American Alex Demopoulos, juniors Chase Carraro and Cameron Flint, along with sophomore goaltender Jamie Faus, all of whom received All-American honorable mention honors after the 2011 season.
