Detroit Mercy's Adams, Masterson Showing Offensive Dominance In Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League

DETROIT -- The regular season is over in the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League (OJALL) and it's now time for the playoffs as the University of Detroit Mercy has seen a few of its men's lacrosse players shine in the summer lacrosse league.
Four Titans are currently competing in the box league in senior Jordan Houtby (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross), juniors Shayne Adams (St. Catharines, ON/Denis Morris) and Tom Masterson (London, ON/St. Thomas Aquinas) and incoming freshman Ryan Callaghan (Burlington, ON/Corpus Christi).
Adams had an outstanding regular season in the league playing for the St. Catharines Athletics before being traded to the Six Nations Arrows – who went on to finish first in the league. He was 14th in scoring during the regular season with 73 points, tied for 10th posting 37 goals and was tied for 20th with 36 assists. He totaled 33 goals and 65 points – leading the team in both categories - in 16 games with St. Catharines before being traded late in the year.
Masterson is in his second season with the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves and he is showcasing his playmaking skills ending the regular campaign with 41 assists and 56 points. He helped the Braves to an 11-8-1 regular season record tying for 12th in the league with his 41 helpers.
Houtby played in 10 games with St. Catharines before being traded to the Whitby Warriors, where an injury has kept him off the field. In 10 games, the defenseman topped the Athletics with eight loose balls, while notching four goals and five points.
Callaghan played two games with the Burlington Chiefs and was also on the move being traded late in the year to the Mississauga Tomahawks. He did not see action in any games for Mississauga and In his two appearances with the Chiefs, he finished with two assists and a goal.
Adams, Houtby and Masterson have all made the playoffs for their respective teams as they look to help their clubs to an OJALL championship.
