You probably remember this gem that I posted not too long ago. I previously stated, "They’re incredible and way better than any 9th or 10th grader I’ve seen in a long time," and it remains true.
The players were all born in 1997 or 1998 (grades 9 and 10) and recently completed an undefeated regular season (19-0-1) while leading their league with most goals for (158) and fewest goals against (56). They did this while playing without two of their top players (Dylan Chand and Reid Bowering) for much of the season due to injuries.
The last time this group of kids played together (in 2011) they won the Bantam Provincial Championship, and they kick off the 2013 Midget A1 provincial championship tournament next week.

Regardless of the typical strength of Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse, this is a special group of young players who are being recognized for a fantastic season, I see no issue with it. We should have a positive approach to this, there is no need to point out anything negative.

They’re good, but this guy needs to realize Coquitlam has put out a team like this in every age group, every year for the past 15 plus years. Just no one outside of the lower mainland has cared until now. And some of those highlights – even some of the nicer ones – are from grade 8 call-ups.
