Texas, Sept. 16, 2011 — As you know, the wildfires around Austin have had devastating consequences to many members of our local community. To support those in need Texas Heat Lacrosse would like to bring our local lacrosse community together for the benefit of the Texas Wildfire relief by offering a youth lacrosse fund-raising clinic on Saturday the 24th from 9 – 11am (field location TBD). We will be sending out the field location begining of next week! This is a free clinic (grades 2-8) where we’ll focus on fostering a love for the game while emphasizing vital lacrosse skills. All that we ask from the participants is that they bring one of the following donations: non-perishable food items, one of the needed supplies listed below, or a charitable donation on the day of the event that we can gather and donate towards the Wildfire relief. We hope to involve the entire Austin lacrosse community in this effort and we look forward to seeing all that can attend this charitable clinic.
