WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army men’s lacrosse program and head coach Joe Alberici have announced their 2015 schedule, which includes six games at Michie Stadium, highlighted by a matchup with 2014 national finalist Notre Dame on May 2.
The Black Knights play a total of 14 regular-season games in 2015 with six games away from the Patriot League. The slate is comprised of three games against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. Army is going to play two of the three games at home against the trio of teams from last year’s bracket, while the lone game on the road will be at the Carrier Dome against Syracuse.
The season kicks off on Feb. 7 with a visit to UMass and then two days later on a Monday, the Black Knights open at Michie Stadium against VMI.
Following that weekend, Army is on the road for six of its next eight games. The Black Knights travel for consecutive Sunday matchups at Jacksonville on Feb. 15 and then back to the Northeast to face the Orange on Feb. 22. Lafayette visits West Point for the Patriot League opener on Feb. 28.
The next two contests are away from Michie Stadium with trips to Rutgers (Mar. 3) and Holy Cross (Mar.7). The league matchup of the year follows the road games with defending Patriot League Champions Loyola coming to campus on Mar. 14 for a 12 p.m. faceoff.
It’s a return to the road for two-straight weeks with a visit to Lehigh on March 21 and then Bucknell on March 28. The Black Knights will wrap up the regular season with three of its final four games on home turf. Boston University starts the final stretch on April 4 at Michie Stadium.
The Army-Navy Star Series game is set for April 11 and will be the Black Knights final away game of the regular season, and will be a 1:00 p.m. faceoff at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. The Patriot League regular season slate comes to an end on April 17 with the Raiders of Colgate coming to West Point for a night cap on the banks of the Hudson as the g will start at 7 p.m.
Following the Patriot League Tournament, the Black Knights are home against Notre Dame on May 2.
