The Armistice that ended World War I was signed 91 years ago today, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Today, we honor the 25 million veterans in the United States today, the countless who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of freedom and the 400,000 who are deployed overseas.
There are a lot of numbers being thrown around but the most important number today is one. To be as one, united on this day regardless of race, religion or belief...and what better way to be united than through lacrosse?
Many that have served and currently serve America have a lacrosse background, and it makes perfect sense. The qualities that are required to be a lacrosse player are the same ones it takes to be an ambassador for the United States and a leader on the foreign battlefronts.
