Based on the true story of the younger brother of Anthony Bradford (writer/producer), the film follows a high school star who battles cancer to regain a spot on his varsity team. “This isn’t just a lacrosse film, but the film also has the purpose to raise awareness of Pediatric Cancer,” says Bradford.
Bradford goes on to state that “the lacrosse players used in this film were real high school players who generously donated their time for this film and its cause. At the end of the film, there is a PSA with statistics and different facts about Childhood Cancer.”
The NYCDSFF began 5 years ago with 12 submissions. Last year, over 1,000 films were submitted—so many that the Festival Committee began holding monthly Audience Choice Screenings, with the winning films earning a spot at this year's fest. Every year is a sell-out, so the 2010 festival is being expanded to six nights. Showcasing some of the best short films being produced in America and internationally, the festival's line-up includes provocative dramas, clever comedies, edgy animation, and intriguing documentaries.

This movie actually has stellar acting, can’t wait to see it!
agreed. people need to stop bashing lax movies. sure, the actors involved arent that talented, but it’s spreading the growth of the sport we love.
I think the lacrosse community needs to get behind this film and do everything we can to support it.
