4th Annual Maverik Showtime Lacrosse National Recruiting Spotlight July 11-14th

Danbury, CT– June 27, 2011 – One hundred and sixty of the fastest rising sophomore and junior high school lacrosse players from across the country will be going head-to-head at the 4th annual Maverik Showtime Lacrosse “National Recruiting Spotlight” (www.showtimelax.com) on July 11th throught the 14th at Western Connecticut State University (Fairfield County). These Division I potential players will be going all out at this invitation only event with the hopes of impressing one of the many Division I, II and III coaches in attendance (i.e. University of Virginia, University of Maryland, Syracuse, Johns Hopkins, Hofstra, Cornell, Notre Dame, Princeton University, the Ohio State University, Penn State University, University of North Carolina, Brown University, Albany University, Dartmouth College and Fairfield University).


“It is amazing to see the level of play at the high school ranks these days,” said John Gagliardi, President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse. “I am always looking for the next Rabil or Bitter to come along and catch my eye. The feedback we have received from the coaches and players over the years has been extremely positive. The Maverik Showtime Lacrosse -- “National Recruiting Spotlight” is the brain child of ESPN color commentator Paul Carcaterra, Joe Ceglia and Mike Springer who all achieved All-American and National Championship careers at Syracuse University, and are immersed in lacrosse as coaches at the high school and collegiate levels, are nationally recognized camp directors, broadcasters and are professional lacrosse players.
