On August 15, 2008 Caroline (Care) Cranston, at 24 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. In high school, Care played lacrosse for West Chester Henderson and continued her lacrosse career at Duquesne University. Our mission is to bring the lacrosse community together and to raise awareness and funds for this terrible disease.

The 4th Annual Care for the Cure Lacrosse Tournament will be held on November 10, 2012 featuring boys and girls high school bracket. This year will mark the 4th year the tournament will look to raise money on behalf of Caroline who lost her life in a battle with AML Leukemia on May 8th 2010. The tournament has donated to the likes of Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Caroline Gallagher Cranston Memorial Fund, Headstrong Foundation, and the Be the Match Organization.

Care for the cure has been a feature tournament in the Philadelphia area for the last 4 years, promoting a family atmosphere with vendors, silent auction items, DJ Smooth and much more. The tournament will once again be held at West Chester Henderson High School which features 2 turf fields, and 4 other plush grass fields.
