A couple weeks back, the PLL announced a deal with Champion as their new uniform provider.
It is probably the best lacrosse promotional video ever made.
Champion had already been making sideline apparel for the PLL, but their uniforms will replace the adidas efforts the teams had previously worn.
While Champion uniforms may be a new concept to the younger fan, they previously outfitted High Point back when the program got started.
Out of curiosity, we searched for Champion's team catalog and discovered that the brand is still making lacrosse uniforms.
We doubt that the league will go with these existing templates, but nonetheless, we whipped some offerings for the Redwoods, Chaos, Chrome, and Atlas.
You can do the same here.
Do you like any of our mock ups?
The Atlas seems the most likely but again we find it difficult to accept that the PLL will be selecting from preexisting templates available to the public.

LOS ANGELES, CA. (February 24, 2022) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster and Champion have reached an historic multi-year agreement that names Champion the Official On-Field & Sideline Apparel Partner of the PLL. As the Official On-Field and Sideline Apparel Partner of the PLL, Champion will produce all official on-field uniforms, replica jerseys, and PLL apparel for players, coaches and staff.
The expanded partnership comes one year after Champion was named the Official Sideline Apparel Partner of the PLL for the 2021 season. The five-year deal highlights Champion's long-term commitment and investment in supporting the sport of lacrosse both on and off the field.
“Champion’s mission of paving the way for the Champions of Tomorrow is in unison with our work at the PLL,” said Co-Founder and President, Paul Rabil. “Last season, Champion joined us as our Official Sideline Partner, and today we're proud to announce Champion as our Official On-Field & Sideline Apparel Partner. Together, the PLL and Champion will continue to raise the standards of championship performance, work to create more access in our communities, and honor the game's Indigenous history.”
The iconic sportswear brand will team up with the PLL to connect with the next generation of youth lacrosse players. Champion will fully integrate into the PLL’s youth lacrosse ecosystem through custom PLL x Champion branded apparel and outfitting at all PLL Academy camps and clinics across the country. Champion’s commitment to diversity and inclusion will expand into the PLL through an innovative partnership, providing uniforms and apparel for youth and female lacrosse programs.
“We’re an innovative brand that believes in letting everyone Be Your Own Champion,” said Jon Ram, Group President of Global Activewear for HanesBrands. “We choose partners who know Champions are defined by how they carry themselves on the field and off, and we’re thrilled to build on our sports heritage with one of the most innovative leagues around. We’re letting players express themselves at the same time we’re working to make lacrosse more equitable and inclusive.”
Over the five-year deal, the PLL and Champion will also work to eliminate barriers to entry and promote diversity among youth lacrosse participants. In conjunction with PLL Assists partners, Champion & the PLL will create new youth camps & lacrosse experiences that will outfit participants in Champion products, provide them with lacrosse equipment and focus on skill development via PLL coaching.
Over the course of the partnership, Champion will activate on-site during PLL event weekends, where fans can purchase co-branded merchandise of their favorite teams. The PLL and Champion will also create a custom branded content series, storytelling with PLL athletes who embody the “Be Your Own Champion” spirit. Champion will also have premier branding on the field and will be integrated into the broadcast during the PLL season.
The 2022 PLL season will include 14 tour stops from June to September. For more information about the 2022 PLL season, visit www.premierlacrosseleague.com/schedule.
