Warrior's Clausen to Cut Hair For HEADstrong at NCAA Championships


Philadelphia, PA - Since his playing days at the University of Virginia, Ken Clausen has established himself as one of the most recognizable figures in the game of lacrosse. Clausen's popularity isn't the only thing that has grown over the years, in that time he has grown what is considered by many to be the best hair in the sport. His iconic locks, handlebar mustache and unique personality caught the eye of Warrior Sports and in 2010 he joined the team as a spokesman and Mountain Pacific territory representative. On Saturday May 25th at 2:00PM amongst the excitement and hoopla surrounding the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in Philadelphia, PA, Clausen, who is originally from the Philadelphia area, will cut his infamous flow to support the HEADstrong Foundation™, an non-profit organization that both he, Warrior and Brine work closely with. Clausen's hair will be donated to Locks of Love™ in HEADstrong Foundation's name.

"Ever since I first cut and donated my hair after my sophomore year at UVA, I have wanted to do it again. I'm excited to head back Philly and partner with HEADstrong to chop the mop and donate for Locks of Love. The great thing about hair is that it grows back. At least I hope so." said Ken Clausen

During NCAA Championship Weekend, Warrior will have a large display setup outside of X-finity Live, located within South Philadelphia Sports Complex. There, lacrosse enthusiasts and spectators will be able test their skills at Warrior's Rabil Challenge, checkout the latest Warrior gear in their newly renovated trailer, and meet members of the Warrior Player's Club including Kyle Hartzell and Paul Rabil.

The question remains, will it be Shaved, a Mo-hawk or Mullet? Fans will be able to weigh in on how Ken Clausen should cut his hair via Warrior's Facebook page leading up to NCAA Final Four Weekend.

HEADstrong Foundation™ will also have a presence, sharing their mission in the LaXperience Fan Fest located in HeadHouse Plaza in Lot K outside of the Lincoln Financial Field.

Clausen has developed a strong alliance with the HEADstrong Foundation™, annually hosting Lacrosse Mustache Madness, a fundraising effort to raise awareness and funds for the organization. To date, the Lacrosse Mustache Madness Campaign has successfully helped raise over $300,000, allowing the HEADstrong Foundation™ to strengthen their commitment to providing resources and assistance to patients and families dealing with blood cancers. Additionally, Ken Clausen was the first ever public spokesperson for the lacrosse rooted organization.
