Warrior Burn Arm Pads Review
Share
Well Warrior went for the whole deal with the Burn line including the midfield arm pads. These arm pads made me slightly skeptical but more than impressed. Those looking for a good arm pad for a reasonable price will be extremely happy.
Mobility- They get a 8 out of 10 here for a couple reasons. These do move very well and don’t restrict very much at all overall I felt my range of motion was pretty well unhindered. The major factors I did notice though were the straps seemed possibly short or just a little too thick because they make it feel like the arm pad is a little tighter then I like. If they stretched a little more it may remove the minor resistance to movement that I felt, note though I still have moved these above my other pair of middie pads because I do feel they are great arm pads. These pads do pinch at first which is the other minor factor to reducing them from a 10 because it seems the more I wear them the less they pinch so I feel this will probably go away.
Comfort- These are in my top 3 most comfortable arm pads even with what was mentioned above. The lining that Warrior has used throughout the Burn line is unbelievable. Super soft lining on the inside that still prevents sliding and inside the physical padding area make this pad extremely comfortable. I wouldn't go so far as to say they’re as comfortable as the D-pads but pretty close so these are getting 9 out of 10.
Protection- Going with a 8 out of 10. The pad holds up to some pretty solid checks with minimal damage but a good slash from a pole and you will feel a decent amount of the check. The length they cover is large enough to deflect most checks on the drive through and they do not slide during a slash so my elbow stayed covered the entire time. I really felt I was equally protected in these as I am when I test out much more expensive arm pads or at least close enough.
Appearance- 8 out of 10 again for me. I like the chrome I like the all white or all black and I like the logos and aggressive look. To me these held a simple but awesome look and I really like them overall. More colors (especially orange) would make them a 10 out of 10 for me.
So overall these come out to a 8.25 out of 10 for me. I really like these pads and for the value I would buy a set any day of the week for a middie/D guy but I still wouldn’t roll with them for box or attack.
