BALTIMORE, March 25, 2015 — As spring has finally arrived, US Lacrosse has set its lineup of spring and summer youth lacrosse tournaments open to boys’ and girls’ teams at the U11, U13 and U15 age levels. The US Lacrosse Regional Championships consist of four events in June, and current specials on registration combine with a first-class experience for teams to make now the ideal time for coaches and program leaders to register their teams.

The lineup, in chronological order:

US Lacrosse Southeast Championships – Raleigh, N.C., June 5-7

US Lacrosse West Championships – Orem, Utah, June 12-14

US Lacrosse Central Championships – Madison, Wis., June 19-21

US Lacrosse Northeast Championships – Wilmington, Del., June 26-28

Current offers for coaches and program leaders of club, travel and recreation teams include a savings of $50 per team when registering more than one team from the same organization and a $50 savings for referring a team from another organization to register. Additionally, coaches or leaders that register multiple teams will have a chance to win complimentary registrations and hotel rooms for up to four people to the US Lacrosse Convention, Jan. 22-24, 2016, in Baltimore.

“Winter was brutal for much of the country, but with the spring lacrosse season here, it’s time for teams to get out on the field and play,” said Beth Porreca, director of special events at US Lacrosse. “We welcome all types of lacrosse organizations to register their teams. Playing teams from different states remains one of the most popular features of US Lacrosse tournaments. That allows coaches to see how their teams stack up and players a chance to make new friends.”

The US Lacrosse Regional Championships guarantee teams at least four games over the three-day tournament, with age-appropriate rules and US Lacrosse-trained officials. Teams compete in pool play before progressing through bracket play to determine a champion, often against teams from different states. US Lacrosse will name a “Keeper of Lacrosse” Sportsmanship Award winner at each championship. Certified athletic trainers are on site, and there is no admission charge for spectators.

In the U15 division, the top four teams at each regional championship will earn automatic invitations with free or discounted registration to the seventh annual US Lacrosse U15 National Championships July 23-26 in Richmond, Va. As many as 32 boys’ teams and 32 girls’ teams will compete for the US Lacrosse U15 National Championships.

Registration deadline for the Southeast Championships is May 1. Registration deadline for the other three regional championships is May 15.
