"We have a lot of respect for Ryan and what he has accomplished at the University of Vermont," said John Gagliardi, President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse. "Ryan has been successful in every lacrosse endeavor he has taken part in, from his All-American days playing for the University of Virginia, to anchoring defenses in the MLL and Team USA, he has always brought passion and commitment to whatever he puts his mind to. We are confident that Ryan will instill that same burning desire amongst his players at UVM. Maverik and UVM both are groups with unlimited potential, therefore, the partnership seemed to be a very logical one."
